[RO] Saddam Hussein a fost executat prin spanzurare astazi, in zori, la ora 5 ora Romaniei. Informatia a fost facuta publica de televiziunea nationala al-Iraqia care a prezentat imagini de la executia fostului dictator de la Bagdad. Canalul american CNN le-a preluat imediat.

Mass media araba sustine ca executia s-a incheiat la ora 5 si 5 minute ora Romaniei. Martorii care au asistat la punerea in aplicare a sentintei au fost prezenti in zona verde cu cateva ore inainte de momentul executiei.

Potrivit unor martori oculari, Saddam Hussein avea mainile si picioarele legate si s-a deplasat cu greutate catre locul executiei. Fata ii era insa descoperita.

Membrii echipei de executie aveau in schimb figurile acoperite de cagule, pentru a nu fi recunoscuti de cei tentati sa-l razbune pe fostul presedinte irakian. Unul dintre cei insarcinati cu executia i-a protejat lui Saddam gatul cu o esarfa neagra.

Saddam Hussein a rostit o scurta rugaciune in timp ce i se potrivea streangul. Consilierul pentru securitatea nationala, Muaffak al Roubai, spune ca fostul presedinte parea un om distrus. Un alt responsabil irakian care a participat la executie este insa de parere ca Saddam parea foarte calm si nu a tremurat nici o clipa.

In Irak a inceput chemarea pentru marea sarbatoare a sacrificiului. Saddam Hussein a fost condamnat la moarte prin spanzurare, pe 5 noiembrie, intr-un proces legat de uciderea a 148 de siiti din localitatea Dujail.

Mie personal mi se pare o mare porcarie condamnarea la moarte prin spanzurare. Traim intr-un secol in care ne asteptam ca aceste practici barbare sa fie interzise. Nimic in aceasta lume nu da dreptul unui om sa ia viata altui om, indiferent care este motivul si gravitatea faptelor sale.

Totusi, Saddam Hussein a fost un om care si-a meritat soarta.

[EN] Saddam Hussein was executed through hung today, at dawn, at 5 AM (GMT + 02:00, Romanian time). The information was made public by al-Iraqia, the Iraqian national television, which presented images from the execution of the ex-dictator from Bagdad. Channel CNN took them immediately.

The Arabian mass media sustains that the execution finished at 5:05 AM, Romanian time. The witness which have assisted to the execution were present in the green zone long before the moment of the execution.

According to some eye witness, Saddam Hussein had his hands and his feet binded and was moving with difficulty to the place of the execution. However, his face was uncovered.

The members of the execution team had their figures unreveiled, in order not to be recognized by the few tempted to avenge the ex-president of Iraq. One expectant with the execution covered Saddam’s neck with a black scarf.

Saddam Hussein uttered a short prayer while the rope was ajusted. The adviser for the national security, Muaffak al Roubai, says that the ex-president of Iraq seemed a distroyed man. Another Iraqian responsible which assisted to the execution has the opinion that Saddam seemed very calm and was looking forward to the trembling moment.

In Iraq began the call for the big holiday sacrifice. Saddam Hussein was doomed to death through hang, on 5 November, in a trial based on the death of 148 Shiite villagers from the Dujail locality.

For private reasons I consider the conviction to death through hang to be a big filth. We live in a century in which we expect these barbarian practices to be forbidden. Nothing in this world gives the right to a person to disanimate, no matter what are the reasons and the graveness of their facts.

Nevertheless, Saddam was a man who deserved his fate.
